Death and Distraction

We insert them into ourselves everyday, whether smacked into our veins or Tivo'ed into our brains. We do so because we must, or at least we believe that to be the case.

We have to. We know deep down that outside our daily struggles, outside of our neighborhod, state and country, real suffering is taking place.

And we feel helpless to stop it. Worse, we're occasionally jarred into realizing we're contributing to this madness. We're complicit.
