There is something to be said for it. For pushing through corners, raising the front, bouncing off the rev limiter.
Sure, you can throw it into the category of extreme sports, but you can't write off its persistence. People have been slipping along streets at their machines' envelopes since the two-wheeled contraptions came to being.
