No Glory

I guess I've always been one of the disinterested youth, that segment of society permanently bored, jaded by the trappings of the world, even long before fully experiencing them. We see no glory in success as the world defines it.

Sure, some of us pay lip service to the longing for riches, yet we have no desire to do what it takes to get them. They just aren't worth the effort.

I thought this feeling would pass when I grew older. I'm still waiting.
