It's peculiar how people tend to freeze styles at a certain point in their lives: upon graduating, having children, entering the workforce. They keep the same hairstyles, the same tastes in music, even the same political ideals.
There is nothing wrong with this per se, as long as the continuity is based upon a respect for the aspects we find timeless and not a dismissal of anything new.
