Life as told in (and dictated by) The Twilight Zone

I had the most surreal experience of my mid life thus far. I had returned home for a visit and stayed up late watching from the beginning the original Twilight Zone series, me and my father's favorite.

I had been debating moving back to the comforts of my hometown because I missed my family so.

Well I get to episode five, Walking Distance, and witness the tale of a man my same age who stumbles across his own childhood home exactly as he'd left it. (And I mean precisely, as the dude was also back in time.)

After upsetting his family from that era, he realizes he can never return to the simplicity of his childhood.

He's a man who must now rely upon himself and care for his own.
