His Way

Fathers, especially strong willed and determined men, tend to see their sons as extensions of themselves. Their purpose is to carry on the causes and efforts their progenitors had not completed (or perhaps never started), whether it's football or law.

I must admit I struggle against the desire to see my son as the new-and-improved me(TM). But, more than anything, I want him to be happy. And for this, he must choose his own way.
